Archbishop Anastasios' Arrival in Tirana
on July 17th, 1991
 

          This website offers two unique perspectives of the life of Archbishop Anastasios.  The first is a chronological history of the His Beatitude's life and the events leading up to his arrival in Tirana to begin the rebuilding of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania.  This section is taken from the book "Missionaries, Monks, and Martyrs: Making Disciples of All Nations," by Father Luke Veronis.  Father Luke has served with the Archbishop for many years in Africa and Albania. 

          The second offering is from the renowned author Jim Forest, who wrote the book, "The Resurrection of the Church of Albania".   Mr. Forest devotes this chapter of his book to the Archbishop's life and specifically to his work with the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania and the Albanian people.
