Initial planning

It is situated in the north of Avlona and south of Aoos' river delta and covers an area of 41,8 km2. It was formed from the interaction of the organic matter which was transferred from the river and the sea, but today Narta does not communicate with the river Aoos. It has a significant economical, social, historical, religious and ecological value.

In the scope of the program, the following shall be materialized:

Registration of the existing situation with memoir to the natural and manly environment Formation of an observation system for the water quality of the lake's ecosystem Exploration of the tendency for financial development and demography. Formulation of suggestions for specific management actions and projects aiming to the protection, management and promotion of the lake's ecosystem and generally to the everlasting development of the region
