Initial planning

The present program includes the introduction of 15 young Albanian scientists, graduated biologists, foresters and environmental engineers, in solid waste management of natural eco-systems.

The program lasts 1000 hours and is being taught by distinguished Albanian and Greek scientists. The aim of the program is to contribute in the formation of local members in the Albanian Administration and generally in the local community, which shall:

Obtain a satisfactory level of specialization in matters of environmental protection and management, through comprehending main elements of the structure and function of eco-systems, that will allow them to form an effective policy. Be able to participate substantially in the materialization of studies, as well as in the suggested projects and activities that shall run in parallel with the abovementioned subprograms.

Implementation

The more than 1000 hours educational program was successfully completed for the education of 15 new Albanian degree holders with area of expertise Biology, Forestry, and Environmental Engineering in:

Administration and protection of natural ecosystems Administration of Solid Wastes

In this program we had eminent Greek and Albanian scientists teaching and it has as scope to create local executives in the realm of Albanian administration, who:

Will possess a satisfactory degree of specialization in issues concerning environment protection and administration, Will be competent in participating in essence in the realization of the suggested works and actions in the aforementioned subprograms.
