The two islands are situated in the southern side of the lagoon, and constitute one of the most significant and spectacular elements of the hydrographic complex of Narta. The two islands are considered to be of great ecological significance, as well as historical and esthetic value. In one of these islands, the famous monastery of Zvernecit dominates, which was built in the 14th century. In the scopes of this management plan, which is now in effect, the possibility of creating an Environmental Study and Research Center, an Information and Ecoturistic Development of the region of Avlona, is being investigating. The center shall operate under the responsibility of "Love Breath" foundation, in the existing installations of Church, after they get completed and reconstructed properly.
