Cultural Contributions

 


A Office of Cultural Heritage was established to look after the orthodox worship objects considered to be national cultural monuments. To date our Church has spent about 7 million euro towards this purpose.

     A number of choirs have been organized in the churches also a Byzantine choir has been formed and has produced six cassettes and two CDs. It also exist a program for reviving of the traditional ecclesiastical music.

     A workshop for the conservation of the icons was established with the goal of training a new generation of artists who would revive our rich tradition of iconography.

    

It functioned the radio station “Resurrection” that began airing programs in 1998 at FM 88.5 MHz. This radio station offers various cultural and religious programs.
 

    

    

     The Church has also sponsored important academic publications, documentary films, academic symposiums and various exhibits of iconography, children’s projects and other culturally related themes.
